The 2nd International conference on Green Engineering for Sustainable Development aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, developers and policy makers involved in multiple disciplines of green engineering for sustainable development to exchange ideas and to learn the latest developments in this important field. Full papers are expected to be submitted on or before 16th July 2017 by electronic mail to engineering.conference@buk.edu.ng

The Conference Organizing Committee on behalf of the Faculty of Engineering, Bayero University,hereby invites all to submit latest research results and to take part in the upcoming conference, to be held from the 5thof December, 2017 to the7th of December 2017 at Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. Paper submission due date:                                      July 16th, 2017
Notification of paper acceptance:                                September 3rd, 2017
Early Registration:                                                    September 10th – 17th, 2017
Registration and Submission of final manuscript:         October 1st, 2017

Conference:                                                             December, 5th – 7th 2017

 

PAPER SUBMISSION

Submitted papers should be original and contain contributions of theoretical, experimental or application nature, or be unique experience reports. The paper should be submitted by email to the LOC Secretary through:engineering.conference@buk.edu.ng.

The paper, containing original works, which must be in the English Language, be on A4-size paper and which should be on and in the format of the template given in the link below, should clearly state the abstract, objectives, methodology, results and conclusions to enable the scope and nature of the paper to be assessed. The conference papers will be reviewed and selected for presentation by the technical subcommittee of the Conference Organizing Committee. Note that additional pages beyond what is on the template will attract additional fees of N5,000.00 ($20.00) per page.

For additional papers there will be a discount of 60%.

EXHIBITION OF PRODUCTS AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Space will be available for the display of related engineering products as well as poster-presentation during the conference.

CONFERENCE FEES

Registration Fee: N30, 000.00 (Thirty thousand Naira only) or $120.00 (One Hundred and Twenty US Dollars).
Early Bird Registration Fee: N25,000.00 (Twenty-five thousand Naira only) or $100.00 (One Hundred US-Dollars).
Students’ Registration Fee: N15,000.00 (Fifteen thousand naira only) or $80.00 (Eighty US-Dollars).
Participation-only Registration Fee: N25,000.00 (Twenty-five thousand Naira only) or $100.00 (One Hundred US-Dollars).

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN KANO

These include, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Museum, Gidan Makama, Kano (historical artifacts, pictures of Hausa classical architectural masterpieces, and old relics, depicting the history of Kano dating back to pre-colonial period);
  2. Kurumi Market Kano (reputed to be one of the largest local open-air markets in Africa with the legend that one can find almost anything in this market, one can certainly find many souvenirs from carvings, calabashes, Horse materials, jewellery, leather works to pottery);
  3. Botanical Gardens, Dawakin Kudu, Kano (with many common and exotic and rare plant species);
  4. Dye Pits, Kofar-mata, Kano (reputed to be more than five hundred years old, these pits produce materials dyed in various shades of blue and indigo colours and has a history dating back to the ancient Trans Saharan trade era. Today, the same age-long methods are still employed for the dying processes).
