Structure Of the Center
The establishment of some units under the center are proposed. Each unit is intended to provide relevant and skillful services in the areas that are relevant to gender and those that may occasionally come up. The units are however complementary and will work for the attainment of the common objective of the center. The following are the proposed units:
- Research, Documentation and Publication unit
- Training and Development Unit
- Knowledge Transfer and Partnership Unit
It is also recommended that a Creche should be established beside the center to provide safe and secure day-care facility for female staff and students. This Could subsequently be a demonstrative laboratory for early childhood center that may be established as well as a source of revenue.
The center should therefore be headed by a Director and deputy directors for the 3 units. An Administrative Assistant, Principal Research Assistant as well as some teaching assistants, a secretary, computer operator, nannies, cleaners, messengers and Securities are also required. At the apex of the Center is the Advisory Board.
