The Centre for Islamic Civilisation and Interfaith Dialogue (CIC) focuses on activities that promote understanding and peace between Muslims and followers of other faiths.
The dRPC is a registered intermediary non-profit organization established with a mission of strengthening the capacity (organizational and technical) of civil society organizations (CSOs) to design and implement transformative and sustainable development interventions which engage government and addresses the felt needs of the vulnerable and excluded such as women and girls. Their vision is for an ethical, inclusive, and sustainable model of development which engages with beneficiaries, governments, and CSOs as catalytic agents of change, scale-up, sustainability, and the public good dRPC has entered into agreement with CICID to empower Muslim Opinion Leaders in fighting Gender Violence Against Women from Islamic Perspective.
Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA) a non-profit organization registered under the Companies and Allied Matters Act having its registered address located at: No. 31, Ekukinam Street, Beside NUJ FCT Chapter, Utako, FCT Abuja, Nigeria. CICID-BUK is currently working with WRAPA towards combatting Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). We are conducting research using Islamic Sources and Penal Code with a view to developing a manual that suits the norms and cultures of our immediate environments.
One of the mandates of the centre is empowering the immediate environment with socio-economic advantages. This can be achieved not only through theoretical approaches but while engaging Civil Society Organisations who have similar goals for ensuring good results. Therefore, the Centre for Islamic Civilisation is considering working with both Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative and fable Advisory towards achieving these goals.
The centre organizes regular outreach activities that would disseminate the results of the research findings of the Centre to the wider research community and to the general populace. This is done through seminars, roundtable discussions and conferences.The conferences, which should be an annual event, should is attended by researchers/scholars from different parts of the world. The seminars and roundtable discussion for smaller events at-the national or local levels.
