Admission Information

Applicants for admission into the programmes must satisfy the following conditions:


a. Possess a recognized Advanced Level Qualification(s) in an area relevant to the programme of choice, such qualification(s) include(s) National Diploma (ND), Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) – (with a minimum of 6 p0ints), General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘A’ Level and any other relevant qualification(s).


b. Possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects, including English Language.


c. Must be 25 years old and above List of Programmes Offered and their admission requirements Courses under Education Department are:
1. B.A.Ed. Arabic Language
2. B.A.Ed. English Language
3. B.A.Ed. Hausa Language
4. B.A.Ed. Islamic Studies
5. B. Sc. Ed. Economics
6. B. Sc. Ed. Geography
7. B. Sc. Ed. Mathematics
8. B.A/B.Sc. Ed. Adult Education
9. B.A. /B.Sc. Library Science
10. B. Sc. Ed. Health Education.


A. Applicants into B.Sc. Geography must satisfy the following conditions;


i. Possess a recognized advanced level qualification(s) in an area relevant to Geography. Such qualification(s) include(s) National Diploma (ND), Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB)- with a minimum of 6 points.


ii. Possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.


B. Applicants into B.Sc. Mathematics must satisfy the following conditions;


i. Possess a recognized advanced level qualification(s) in an area relevant to Mathematics. Such qualification(s) include(s) National Diploma (ND), Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB)- with a minimum of 6 points.


ii. Possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.


C. Applicants into B. Nursing must satisfy the following conditions;
i. Possess a recognized Diploma in Nursing from School of Nursing and most be Registered Nursing Officer.
ii. Possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects, including English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and PROGRAMMES OFFERED AND THEIR ADMISSION REQUIREMENT S/N PROGRAMME O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT A’LEVEL REQUIREMENT


1. B.Sc Accounting 5 Credits including English, Maths & any other 3 Social Science subject Diploma or Higher National Diploma in any field.
2. B.Sc Business Administration 5 Credits including English, Maths & any other 3 Social Science subject Diploma or Higher National Diploma in any field
3. B.Sc Criminology & Security Studies Any 5 Credits including English Language Diploma or Higher National Diploma in any field.
4. B.Sc Public Administration Any 5 Credits including English and either Government or History Diploma or Higher National Diploma in any field.
5. B.Sc Banking & Finance 5 Credits including English, Maths & any other 3 Social Science subject Diploma or Higher National Diploma in relevant field
6. B.Sc Economics 5 Credits including English, Maths & any other 3 Social Science subject Diploma or Higher National Diploma in relevant field
