The Management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabi’u University of Nigeria (KHAIRUN) has congratulated Professor Haruna Musa on his appointment as the 12th Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano.

Led by its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, the KHAIRUN delegation paid a courtesy visit to Professor Musa in his office on Wednesday, 20th August, 2025. Professor Garba said the entire management team was delighted to felicitate with him and to wish him a successful tenure.

He disclosed that the National Universities Commission (NUC) had recently granted KHAIRUN a full operational license, a milestone he attributed in part to the mentorship and guidance received from Bayero University, Kano. He assured that KHAIRUN would continue to maintain strong institutional ties with BUK.

In his response, Professor Musa expressed appreciation to the KHAIRUN management for the visit and goodwill message. He recalled his long-standing professional relationship with Professor Garba, dating back to their joint appointment into BUK in 1993, and acknowledged the encouragement and positive counsel he received from him during his bid for the vice-chancellorship.

The BUK Vice-Chancellor also congratulated KHAIRUN on securing its operational license, pledging that BUK would continue to collaborate with the institution in various academic and developmental areas.

The visit was rounded off with a special prayer led by the Chief Imam of KHAIRUN, who prayed for Allah to grant Professor Musa wisdom, strength, and resilience to deliver on his mandate.
