The Bursary Department is the administrative arm of the University concerned with financial and accounting functions. It is headed by a Bursar who is the Chief Financial Officer of the University. His main duties include advising the Vice-Chancellor on the day-to-day administration and control of the University’s funds, formulating financial policies, preparing budget and budgetary controls to safeguard the financial resources of the University. The Department has fifteen (15) units under it which are being headed by the most senior staff. At the end of the year under review, the Department had staff strength of 123, out of which, six are Deputy Bursars.
