Disability Services
The special needs unit located in the university library, has a variety of services targeting those with special needs. With the introduction of the Unit, the gap between students with special needs and their typically developing peers has been reduced. Moreover, their enthusiasm for learning has increased. The unit has the following;

- Embosser Machine
- Topaz Magnifier
- Pearl Camera
- Special Softwares for hiring.
- Jaws Software
- Openbook software
- Dexburw Braille Translator
The Unit renders the following services:
- Transcription of print material to Braille copy
- Teaching and coaching people with special needs conditions on how to operate and manipulate computer
- Scanning and reading of print material via the use of Sara Ce.
- Capturing and enlarging a print material via the use of TOPAZ Magnifier to the large amount of size for person with partial sightedness
- Assisting students with special needs conditions on how to access internet.
- Guiding and Counselling students with special needs conditions on how to thrive academically, socially and morally.
The unit is open from 9am to 5pm daily for both staff and students with special needs.
