About Us

The Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management was established by the Senate/Council of Bayero University Kano in 2016 under the Faculty of Agriculture to train manpower in Forestry and Wildlife aspect. It aimed at producing graduates geared towards self-employment with sufficed nautical skills in any aspect of forestry and wildlife.  Graduates that are relevant to industry and society and who can contribute effectively to National and International goals in Forestry, Wildlife resources and the environment. The first set of students were admitted in 2016/2017 academic session. Presently the Department has students in all the levels (100 - 500). The department is expected to start graduating students in the 2020/2021 academic session.
