Bayero University, Kano has bagged two bronze medals in Judo at the ongoing 11th Africa University Games (FASU) being co-hosted by the University of Lagos and the Lagos State University (LASU).
Mujahid Musa of Accounting Department scooped two bronze medals in 73 kg and open there by earning a recognition at the international fiesta.
Director of Sports, Professor Rabiu Mohammed, reacting on the international medals said he was happy with the effort of the athlete and affirmed that he had really earned it owing to his preparation prior to the competition. He attributed the success to the untiring support of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas.
The chief coach of Judo, Ado Cizo said the boy started playing judo since his childhood. He said Bayero University Kano has become the home of judokas having won several gold, silver and bronze medals at various competitions.
The father of Mujahid Musa, who attended the heroics of his son, said he was delighted with what he did. He said he would continue to support him.
