Bayero University, Kano (BUK) held its 59th Meeting of the Congregation on Saturday, December 14, 2024. The meeting focused on key issues relating to the growth and development of the University.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, who chaired the meeting, addressed Academic Activities, Administrative Matters, and Project Completion and Execution.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor expressed deep gratitude to members of the Congregation for their unwavering support in sustaining and advancing the University amidst significant challenges. He acknowledged the difficulties faced by the institution but highlighted the resilience of the University community.
"Despite these trying times," he noted, "we successfully concluded the 2020/2023 academic session as planned. We have also completed the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic session, and the second semester is already underway."
The meeting underscored the collective efforts of the University community in navigating challenges and maintaining academic progress.
