Professor Yazid Ibrahim of the Department of Health and Kinetics has asserted that modern sports have lost one of their core attributes—the uncertainty of outcomes—due to deep-rooted ethical and integrity concerns. He emphasized that addressing these challenges requires a shift in how individuals and society perceive sports, particularly the tendency to equate it with warfare.

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially inducted 133 newly qualified medical professionals at its 11th Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and 25th MBBS Induction Ceremony. The event, held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Convocation Arena, marked a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to producing top-tier healthcare professionals.

A total of 118 medical doctors and 15 dentists took the oath of allegiance, formally joining the noble professions of medicine and dentistry.

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has formally appointed three new Deputy Vice-Chancellors, who received their letters of appointment on Friday, February 28, 2025. The appointees are Professor Haruna Musa (DVC Academics), Professor Amina Mustapha (DVC Research and Development), and Professor Aliyu Muazu (DVC Management Services).
