In a historic move, the National Association of Political Science Students at Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has elected its first female president, Asma’u Hamman Kali, a 400-level student of the Department of Political Science.
In a strong demonstration of Bayero University Kano’s expanding regional partnerships, a high-powered delegation led by Professor Muhammad Auwal Hussaini, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and representative of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, participated in the ‘Wearing of the Gown’ ceremony at Dan Dicko Dankoulodo University, Maradi (UDDM), Niger Republic.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Professor Hafiz Miko on Thursday, 4th September 2025. Until his passing, Professor Miko had just been appointed as the pioneer Provost of our newly established College of Humanities.
